Hub Overview

In the mission of building the innovation ecosystem the physical materialization of what we do is key to better mobilize and manage our community.

Beta-i was recognized by Wired as the key incubator in Lisbon and has truly one of the most dynamic spaces and communities in Lisbon, operating in the Saldanha Hub, at Av. Casal Ribeiro, 28, a 4.000 sqm building hosting a community of over 400 people, with coworking, incubator, office space, events space, acceleration area and Beta-i team.

With the growth of Beta-i we’ve decided to focus the core organization on our 3 main activities: Education, Acceleration and Corporate Innovation, and to make a spin-off of the Hub area.

However, the Hub Area will continue to be core to Beta-i, but will operate under a different name and entity, fully owned by Beta-i, and will have the challenge to roll out it’s operation and grow to a multiple hub strategy, focused not only in Lisbon.

In November, Beta-i will move to a new Hub which will require moving from the current building to the new one, and will be the start of a new era. In parallel we’re evaluating several other opportunities to expand to new buildings with different models and concepts.

The concepts of work and innovation spaces are evolving rapidly with many new players, and Beta-i wants to have a stake in this major trend.
